The Best Day in Snoqualmie, Washington
Snoqualmie, Washington is located just 30 minutes from Seattle. It has one of the most popular scenic attractions – Snoqualmie Falls. Surrounded by the Snoqualmie Valley with native wildlife, the iconic 270-foot waterfall can be viewed at several observation areas.

Snoqualmie Falls are definitely a sight to see! It is free to enter and there is a gift shop on site. In addition, there is a visitor’s center with information on the history of the Snoqualmie Tribe and its significance to this area.

About a mile from the falls is the historic downtown area of Snoqualmie. This walkable district features boutique shops, bookstores, coffee shops, restaurants, and a brewery. We spent time strolling through this small town and learning about it’s history.

Neighboring the historic downtown district is Railroad Park. The park covers 4 acres, including the Centennial Log Pavilion. Inside the pavilion is an old Douglas Fir log. It is huge!

The Northwest Railway Museum is also in Snoqualmie. It includes several indoor facilities on the railway history along with outdoor train cars and artifacts.
Inside the historic Snoqualmie Depot there are exhibits on the impact of the railway. The depot is free to visit and also has a bookstore. Guests can also purchase train excursion tickets for a 2-hour round trip through the upper Snoqualmie valley.

Snoqualmie is also home to several golf courses. One of which is The Club of Snoqualmie Ridge, where the Boeing Classic is held. With such a stunning backdrop, it’s an annual event for the senior PGA Tour. Preparations for the tournament were underway when we visited the course.

Mount Si is another golf course in Snoqualmie. Right across the street from course entrance is Meadowbrook Farm. The field often has Elk roaming around. We happened upon perfect timing as the herd of elk were grazing the field.
The state of Washington has many unique attractions. For areas near Snoqualmie, check out Seattle or Woodinville. And on the other side of the state is Spokane, Washington.
