How to Spend a Day in Seabrook, Texas
A quaint little Texas beach town is how we would describe Seabrook, Texas. We particularly liked being close to activities, restaurants, and shops but still have the peaceful beach-town vibe. One of the highlights of our time in Seabrook was morning coffee on the front porch of our VRBO, taking in views of the water afar. For an event-filled day in Seabrook, we recommend the following…
- Breakfast at Seabrook Waffle Company. We stopped at this little gem our first morning in town. When you walk inside the establishment, you place an order at the counter. The displayed menu features a variety of waffles, coffee, and other breakfast goodies. After ordering, we found a shaded spot on the dog-friendly patio area. Our waffles of choice were the strawberry banana and the banana nutella. So good that there was not a bite of either one left!
- Drive to the Kemah Boardwalk. After breakfast, we made a short 10-minute drive to the Kemah Boardwalk area. We stumbled upon several blocks of shops and restaurants, then made our way to the theme park. There are a number of rides to choose from, including a Ferris wheel, carousel, roller coasters, and more. Guests can also take the speed boat ride into the Bay, or visit the stingray reef and rain forest exhibit.
- Dine at T-Bone Tom’s Steakhouse (featured on DDD). Good thing we built up our appetites because T-Bone Tom’s portions are very filling. We chose the Tom’s Choice ribeye which comes with 2 sides. Even though we had such large entrees, we couldn’t pass on dessert! The bread budding came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzled in a warm maple-flavored glaze. Absolutely delicious!!
- Breakfast at It’s Damn Fine Coffee & Fried Pies. The following morning we ventured around the town of Seabrook. There was a cute little coffee shop with a nice patio area. Just the perfect place to enjoy some morning sunshine! We found a patio table then walked in to place an order. I had a specialty coffee and a strawberry rhubarb sweet pie topped with powdered sugar. My husband had a meat pie smothered in spinach artichoke topping. Mmmm!
We made wonderful memories during our time in Seabrook! Time to head home now…
In closing, we sure do love road trips! On our way through Texas and then back home we must stop at Bucee’s. Not only do they have clean grassy areas to walk our fur-kids, but they also have a store full of gifts galore. While here, we purchase some road trip snacks, and fill up our car with gas before we get back on the road!
